I'm SO bored of being here and reading most everything that's been going on. Yeah, it's bad, and I hope everything turns out okay, but shouldn't there be more focused on getting those of us here against our will HOME? Or has that been forgotten? I'm tired of not having all my things, my parents, or even money to go shopping as I like.

I want to go home. Now.

Why can't there ever be anyone cute and nice to look at as Minister? Is it really that hard to ask? I mean, shouldn't they be anyway since we have to look at their faces every single day for however long they're there? I know I'd want someone who had nice blue eyes and maybe some blond hair like mine - though brown isn't all that horrible. No redheads though.

Perhaps I shouldn't have said that. There's nothing wrong with redheads as they're really passionate, but I've had enough of my share of redheads to last me an entire lifetime!

I picked up a copy of Witch Weakly today and had such a fascinating read. Truly. Why, Madam Bennet said that in order for a young witch to conduct herself properly, she must first display an air of aloofness so that her counterparts do not know what to think. In addition, she must be properly attired for each and every occasion. Sundresses and/or dressy robes for tea and other factions that involve food are necessary and appropriate outdoor attire for any outings must be worn according to time of day and season of the year. She goes on to say (and this is my favourite part) that a young witch must wear the right shoes at all times for the shoes provide a doorway to the soul. They truly do, don't they, Parvati? Each colour selection and style must say something about the witch and what sort of statement she's trying to make. Madam Bennet spoke briefly of hair and nails, as she always does even in our time, but it's repetitive information and so outdated, and I'd rather not waste my ink.

After reading the paragraph above back to myself, I've decided that I need to take a look at my shoe collection. I know that they're all quite stylish, but I need to examine what they say about me and my soul. I just asked Parvati and she thinks that I should throw out all those shoes that say negative things about me. Of course this will require me to wait until I go home in my time since quite a few pairs are there, but I'm a patient girl. I can wait.

Oh! But I just remembered, I can easily purchase new ones here and take them back with me. They'll be vintage wear by that time and still in perfect condition. I can't believe I didn't think of that before!

Full Personality: Lavender is one of those girls in school who boys generally fawn over and all the girls scorn. Oftentimes considered silly, Lavender has a tendency to talk far too much for her own good. It wouldn't be so bad if the subjects she tended to discuss weren't superficial and overwhelmingly pointless. However, there are times when she talks about important things - occasionally she'll discuss the war or her father's job at Gringotts, but she'd rather go on about the latest issue in Witch Weakly and the ghastly outfit Rita Skeeter wore to a book signing at Flourish & Blotts.

While her sole focus is generally on boys, clothes, shoes, and the latest gossip, there is more to Lavender than truly meets the eye. Beneath the exterior lies a girl that truly has a big heart. She does care about things, quite a lot actually, and when she does, she cares about them deeply. She loves animals, though not really the kind that Hagrid shows during their Care of Magical Creatures class. She also feels strongly about the war - joining Dumbledore's Army in her fifth year to help fight against Professor Umbridge's total control on the school and their need to learn defensive spells.

Lavender is also a bit wholly when it comes to her school work - while she makes acceptable grades to appease her parents, her primary concern isn't on schoolwork. She'll do the work when it's assigned, but it's not as good as it could be if she strove to do her best. Her favourite subject, Divinations, however, is the one subject she excels in. She fawns over Professor Trelawney and absolutely loves reading tealeaves, and won't take no for an answer when she gets it in her mind to read your future in her cup.

Given that she was sorted into Gryffindor, there has to be a backbone somewhere within her. Though she doesn't often jump to the forefront of a fight, she can be rather forceful when she needs to, oftentimes this leads to her holding several grudges at a time. In what would have been her seventh year, she joined Harry in the fight against Hogwarts, forgetting all her girlishness and fighting for what she truly believed in.

Immediate Biological Family:
Father: Wyatt Brown - works for the Goblin Liaison Office and is 56 years old
Mother: Elizabeth Brown - Unspeakable at the Ministry of Magic and is 53 years old
Grandfather Brown: Used to work as an aid to the Minister of Magic, but quit after all the You-Know-Who business arose. He is now 78 years old.
Others: The rest of Lavender's Grandparents have since passed away; her mother's parents died before she was even born.

Chosen Family: Her best friend forever, Parvati Patil
Past Relationships: Attended the Yule Ball with Seamus Finnigan, went out with Ron Weasley during her sixth year until he broke her heart, and has other minor dates and boyfriends over the past few years.

Loyalty: Lavender's loyalties lie with herself, her friends, and then her family. They fall in that particular order too.

Motivation: Her goals are rooted in what she believes is right and wrong, and ultimately whether or not her tea leaves might agree with her or not. At times, she knows that there are people who don't take her seriously and she wants to prove them wrong. Sometimes she manages to, especially when she has those fierce moments of bravery or where she stands up for something she strongly believes in. However, those moments, though nice as they are, are few and far between.

Defining Moment: Lavender has three defining moments: One being when she was sorted into Gryffindor - her mother and father had anticipated that she would be sorted into Hufflepuff given her personality, but the sorting hat said she belonged in that house and she felt rather honoured to be there. The second defining moment that made Lavender who she is today was when she attended her first Divinations class. Like many, she wasn't sure what to expect, but upon meeting Professor Trelawney and having her predict that her rabbit, Binky, was going to die, she was hooked and has since practiced the art herself. Finally, the third defining moment that has shaped Lavender is when she joined Dumbledore's Army. There were several who thought that she wouldn't or couldn't handle the advanced spellwork, but she believed in its cause and joined regardless.

History:

Lavender Elise Brown was born in the morning hours of 21 February 1980 and has since been the apple of her parents eyes, especially her father's. From the time she was little to the present, she was a very precocious child who wanted to know anything and everything about the fanciful world around her. Her parented doted on her, lavishing her with dolls and frilly dresses to play dress-up with. Rarely did she go outside and get dirty in the mud; instead, however, she preferred sitting in the living room with all her stuffed animals and playing tea party. As always, she was the queen and the delightful hostess who poured their cups of warm tea her mum would make and serve them cookies right out of the cookie jar.

Ages five through ten found Lavender in Primary School. Her parents thought it important for her to receive a well-rounded education and enrolled her in one of the best in the county. There, she managed to do so-so on her work, but preferred making friends with all the girls in her class. The boys, she would say, had cooties and she wanted absolutely nothing to do with them - cootie shot or not, thank you very much. During recess, she could often be found having her hair braided by one of the other girls or forming secret organisations between her girlfriends that no one else was allowed to know about.

At age eleven, Lavender received her Hogwarts owl as expected and went off to Hogwarts. Her parents had predicted she would be sorted into Hufflepuff given her disposition, but the sorting hat placed her in Gryffindor instead. There, on the first night, she met her best friend forever, Parvati Patil, and after that moment, the two have been practically inseparable! They shared a dormitory with Hermione Granger, but didn't really pay the other girl very much attention.

The first two years at school passed by almost uneventfully for Lavender, even with all the happenings going around with the Troll sneaking into the castle her first year and the mess about the Chamber of Secrets. It wasn't until her third year that Lavender got the biggest surprise in her whole entire life. It happened during her first Divinations lesson: Professor Trewlawney predicted that something would happen to her pet rabbit, Binky, and it did! She received word a few days later that he had died, and since that day, she has been a firm believer in Divinations. She owns her own tea set just so she can practice reading tea leaves and finally received her own crystal ball her sixth year.

Fourth year, Lavender was beyond excited about the new students arriving from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang, and even more excited when she heard that there would be a Yule Ball! Originally, she had planned to go with one of the male students for Durmstang, but Seamus Finnigan asked her first and she could hardly deny him. In fifth year, she joined Dumbledore's Army and learned how to properly defend herself from Harry Potter using advanced magic that was several years above her. In sixth year, she dated Ron Weasley who she declared herself to be madly in love with. The were together for ages and though she realised they snogged more than anything, she hardly complained. At least she didn't up until the point where Ron was nearly killed and was always asleep in the infirmary whenever she went to visit him. Then, after he was well again, he still ignored her! Finally, things were broken off, and she went to her friends to mend her broken heart.

Seventh year found things horribly changed and she could hardly believe how quickly the wizarding world had descended in a matter of months. People were dying or being kidnapped, and Lavender feared for her own life and those of her friends and family. Things at Hogwarts changed and Severus Snape was in charge of the school, something that was wrong on so many levels. Then, the battle at Hogwarts happened and so many died that night, but Lavender fought alongside her friends against the Death Eaters, and managed to stun several herself though she didn't get away without a handful of scratches by the end of the night.

Then, when everything seemed to be going just right, Lavender went to sleep one evening, dreaming about the pair of shoes she had seen in Muggle London and wondering if her parents would consent letting her purchase them when...she next woke up in a strange bed and a strange time that she didn't know. She was twenty years in the past, with people whom she had only ever heard about and for all she knew, her dad could be around somewhere and the same age as her!
